Workshop program: “Training seminar for the set up of flower beds in hotels and tourist structures -  how to use flowers to promote the environment and foster tourism” Period 16th to 20th September 2007.

During their stay in Cervia, the partners participated in outdoor lessons on how Cervia involves citizens and representatives of the economic sector in the importance of living in a welcoming city, where the respect for the environment can be seen every where.
The participants visited hotels, restaurants, lidos, green areas, bars and all the strategic places for the promotion of sustainable tourism. The guided tours in the afternoons involved the participants of both groups, who also took part together in the two final workshops. The final dinner took place at the Restaurant Al Caminetto, a popular restaurant in our city, which, on the occasion, turned into a learning class. Participants were taught how to cook with flowers, creating a special dinner they could then enjoy themselves.
Our project aims at fostering the awareness that quality can be achieved not only through better planning, care and maintenance of urban and private green areas, but also through the cooperation among partner cities. The atmosphere during the educational dinner at the restaurant favoured the development of contacts based on cooperation and the will to continue in this direction.
