The flowerbed created by the Municipality of Ravenna, in collaboration with Area Asset technicians, reproduces mosaic details from several Ravenna monuments.
In particular, the depiction of a boat – the original is in the basilica of S. Apollinare Nuovo – created in mosaiculture with begonias, alternathera and santolina, was inspired by the exhibition “Ravenna Felix”, dedicated to Ravenna as capital city, which enjoyed considerable public and critical acclaim.
