We really seem to experience the emotion of being for a moment on the famous Grado lagoon where a fisherman pauses for a moment on a sandbank with his flat-bottomed boat to rest and clean his nets. The flowerbed created by the Grado gardeners renders the reality of lagoon nature in the tiniest detail, such as the reflection on the water of the sun and the yellow stripe on the boat’s side, reproduced with groups of marigolds, Gazania and Alyssum, and the sandbank shaped by the tide and its transport of various materials (wood, seaweed etc.). The whole is surrounded by the calm and placid sea of the lagoon, masterfully represented by Ageratum in shades of blue.
