The design of this green area was inspired both by the rich vegetation already in place and by the historic matrix that permeates the city centre, with special reference to the 17th century cathedral.
So the idea arose to dedicate this year’s garden to the creation of the waterways with a stylised silhouette of the old city centre surrounded by the 17th century city walls and with the internal waterways set out with inert materials in different shades.
On the opposite side of the path, in white and red begonias, the oval coat-of-arms of the Municipality of Bologna.
