This city of Saxony proposes a faithful reconstruction of a typical wooden house of the kind still existing in the countryside, the Umgebindehaus, a real gem of rural architecture.
Rural houses that are still inhabited today, with the special decorated wooden roof frame. The oldest still standing date to more than 350 years ago.
A green world surrounds these houses: small vegetable gardens, well tended and rich in blossoms at graded heights in an assortment of colours, like the example in this small reproduction.
